This week on PBC Jabs we look back at our action-packed January 28th Showtime card and we preview tonight’s FS1 show featuring 147-pound contender Sammy Vasquez Jr. who checks in with us before battling former world champ Luis Collazo. What’s up, boxing fans? I’m your host Jordan Hardy and this is PBC Jabs.
On January 28th, PBC brought you a championship doubleheader live on Showtime from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The evening began with our co-main event between WBC 135-pound champion Dejan Zlaticanin defending his title against undefeated former two-division champ Mikey Garcia. Garcia established his jab early and used his footwork to keep the dangerous southpaw at bay, then landed a stunning right uppercut in Round 3 that hurt Zlaticanin, followed by a devastating right cross that knocked the champion out cold. That lights-out finish, which made Garcia a three-division world champion, is easily an early contender for Knockout of the Year. While that fight was definitely dramatic, it was the 126-pound world title rematch between Carl Frampton and Leo Santa Cruz in the main event that we were all waiting for. Frampton had intentions on returning to Belfast, Northern Ireland, with his title intact, but former champ Santa Cruz had other plans. Both boxers fought an excellent fight, but it was Santa Cruz who better executed his game plan, patiently using his boxing skills and his reach to edge Frampton by majority decision and reclaim his title, making him a four-time world champion. Tonight, PBC returns to FS1 at the Horseshoe Tunica Hotel and Casino in Mississippi. The telecast will lead off with a 140-pound clash between unbeaten prospects Ryan “Cowboy” Karl and Eddie Ramirez. Ramirez is coming off a huge KO victory over Kevin Watts and Karl is looking to add another win to his 13-0 record. Also, on the undercard check out the 147-pound matchup between veteran contender Yordenis Ugas and heavy-hitter Levan Ghvamichava. The main event of the evening is a welterweight attraction with contender Sammy Vasquez Jr. looking to rebound from his first pro defeat against former world champ Luis Collazo in a 10-round bout. We thought we’d visit with Vasquez before he steps in the ring. Sammy, thanks for joining us! —Thank you for having me, I appreciate it. —You’re coming off a loss to Felix Diaz. What did you learn from that fight and what changes are you going to make for your fight with Luis Collazo? —You know, I mean I learned a lot from the fight from the aspect of, you know, I needed to move more in that fight. I had a lot going on outside of the fight itself, medically, that kind of hindered me a little bit, but at the same time I knew some of the mistakes I was making by staying on the ropes which I shouldn't have done. I should have been more mobile during that fight. So that was a big learning lesson for me for that fight. It definitely won't happen again. —Diaz is a southpaw and you’re now ready to take on another southpaw in Collazo. In what ways does that benefit you going into this fight? —Two fights prepared. We prepared for a southpaw last fight. Initially it was Collazo and then he ended up getting hurt and then Diaz is just a shorter southpaw and then now we're fighting Collazo again so it's just the transition of being able to fight the same style. --What is it going to take for you to get in the mix of the 147 division? —Win. Win, win, win. That was my first loss, that last fight, and you just realize the difference in everything when you lose one fight. A loss just sets you back so that's something I'm not willing to take anymore, I'm not willing to take a loss anymore, I'm coming back harder, stronger and Collazo's the guy that's in front of me and it's gonna be a great fight. He's a very tough guy. We all know that Collazo's tough and he's gonna be coming and I'm very well prepared for it. —Thanks for your time Sammy and best of luck! For more details on this all-action fight card, including ticket information, visit PremierBoxingChampions.com. That’s all for this week’s PBC Jabs. I’m Jordan Hardy. Thank you for watching and we’ll see you next time as we continue to bring YOU the best in boxing. You can do the same thing on Bape's website. You can go on www.us.bape.com, whatever it is, and when they do drops at 11 a.m., they usually do them every day. Not a lot of stuff does sellout, but some of the collab stuff does. So you can score $138 Bape tee, and turn that into $300.
It's the same principle just for different brands. Same goes for Vlone, same goes for Off-White, it all kind of just works together by getting the item first. Let's say you like an item that came out you know ten years ago. This came out 10 years ago. Actually, it came out like 12 years ago. The way you want to do that is you want to look on websites that resell Supreme and Bape. But you want to make sure you're getting them for a good price. My number one app that I do recommend is called the Grailed, and they also have a website which I will show you. I do have a Grailed account, and I do, you know resell on Grailed just a little bit, but I mainly buy on Grailed. So let's say for example we want Supreme box logo. There's gonna be a lot of stuff that says box logo, but you know, like if we sort it... So let's say we started a dollar on Supreme box logo. I don't think you want stickers. So we're going to have to make sure we look in the right thing. So we're going to go to, let's say, tops, and we're just going to do all tops for Supreme. So as you guys can see, you got some like Haynes t-shirts and stuff like that, but we do want to get in a little more expensive stuff, because you know, now you do have the budget. So let's go to high price. So as you guys can see, Supreme stuff can sell up to $5000, $3,800. But we're going to scroll down a little bit. We're going to find you, let's-- Hypothetically, a box logo you can get for relatively cheap. So we're going to instead sort this by popular. Another main thing you want to do is you do want to look for stuff that says like two hours ago rather than six months, because I don't think the person is still selling that item for six months ago. So let's find a good one right here so... Alright, so right here's a good one. So I'm going to show you guys a couple little things to look for when you are looking for an item like this. Here's a Light blue on Navy Supreme box logo t-shirt. He's asking $445. What you can do is you can make an offer. So let's say, you want to offer them, like this is kind of a low ball, but $325. You can click offer and do that. However, I would be aware, because this user does have zero feedback. So he's only got one item for sale, and zero feedback. That could be an issue because he might be a scammer. So let's try and find somebody that has like a nice reputation. So this guy right here, seems like he knows what's going on. He's got six bought and sold six Grails, and he's got five out of five feedback, which does mean he has sold an item before. Man, I'm gonna take this jacket off. It's too hot. Too hot. So this guy selling a 2007 Friends and Family red box logo. You can get this for a little cheaper than $440, but he only has a purchase option, but this is just an example to show you that you can find stuff like this, for you know, like a little round like $350 - $400. So Grailed to me is like the number one place that I do look for stuff like Supreme, Bape, and stuff like that because you can get really nice pre-owned items for cheap. As well as you can even get new items. And while you guys know that I do YouTube, I also do make money myself through merchandise, and I do make YouTube money, as well as brand deals and other stuff like that. So this may be a little easier for me because I can take my money from that, and rather than putting it towards the camera equipment, I can put it towards like a Supreme box logo to show off to you guys. As well as having it for myself. Lastly, to incorporate the reselling deal, I did actually resell these on my Blazendary Kicks Instagram, and I did make a little bit of a profit on these. So what I did was I took that profit, and I did make more merchandise for my channel. So as you guys can see, there are a ton of different ways to start coming up. I recommend Grailed. If you want to get the item on release day, I showed you how to do that. I showed you how making an Instagram account may be beneficial using the specific hashtags, and I did give you a little insight on how really I do it, because I don't really necessarily need to resell like I used to. Although I still recommend it because let's say, I need to make that car payment one day. I can resell a pair of Yeezys, in case I didn't make merch that month. That's all I have for you guys in this video. Thank you so much for watching. If you could, please make sure you smash that like button. Let's try and get this video to 3000 likes, because I do think it is an informative video that I think all of you can benefit from, and drop a comment down below on what you think is the best way, you maybe, you can let other people know that I didn't really touch on to try and make some money to get this kind of stuff. Go check out some other videos if you haven't already on my channel. I do make a lot of streetwear videos, along with Vlogs and cool pick up videos. We got the merch for sale on my website. Air Jordan Royal 1 free giveaway. That's it. Thank you for watching. It's Blazendary. I'm out. Peace. With each passing day, poker is becoming more and more popular. Everyone wants a shot at winning big by playing poker either online or in a casino. Why you may ask? Probably because at poker you actually stand a chance of winning, since you have to use more than just luck. You also need strategy and skills in order to win the jackpot, unlike the lottery, where you can only count on luck to win. Unfortunately, not everyone is good when it comes to poker, especially recent players who've been playing only for a short time. So what can you do so that you can stand a chance against pros?
The first thing that you can do is practice. After all, the best thing to do if you want to improve is gaining as much experience as you can. There are many online poker games, which you can join and play for free. It's true, they don't charge a dime and you get to play against other users online. As you progress, if you wish, you can start playing with real money online. The bets can go from as low as 1$ to 100$ or even more. This will allow you to get used to playing with money when you play in a casino or against friends. Another interesting thing about poker online is that there are actually matches that are used to teach. In other words, in these kind of matches there'll be a teacher or a pro that will show you how to play. These are online poker schools, which you can sign up for if you want to learn from the best. The basic idea is for you is to learn to play poker like a pro with the pros. If you want to write cool essay, use essay service help. There are also various different kinds of poker and strategies that can be learned from online poker sites. They'll show you how and when to bluff or when to call a bluff or even how to tell if the other player is bluffing. You'll also learn the rules of the many types of poker that exist. You'll be shown which hands are the strongest and which ones are the weakest. Moreover, you'll get the chance to learn what kind of hands you should fold and which ones you should be aggressive with and bet more. The best part is that you'll be shown formulas that will allow you to calculate your chances of winning in your mind before actually betting. How much your skills improve in poker depends entirely on the individual. Some may have a natural ability, some are less fortunate but the best way to becoming a pro for anyone is to practice. The more people you challenge the more you will learn and nothing beats being able to play against millions of different players online. Building confidence and self-esteem is something that everyone should work on. There is nothing that gives you more confidence to succeed. And I mean it does not need to be some remarkable success, but at least knowing that you have managed to keep your desk tidy for a week can be a “success-event” for you.
1. Look at your past successes often An important factor in the confidence and self-esteem takes just five minutes to write in your cv or just re-consider your past successes. Even if you go back to the third year of school! I can remember one day in elementary school my teacher set my picture on the top of the blackboard. The gift she gave me to my first effort to draw an apple tree, stayed with me throughout school , and I will trust myself about art for the rest of my life. Everyone can remember the times when a friend, teacher or parent congratulate them . 2. Learn to be proud of yourself It was my experience when working with people who did not have high self-esteem and I think it is the only area that we should consider, before loading on the objectives and strategies for success of other. I have seen beautiful young women say that their nose was too short, legs too long, too high brow , I said “What a beautiful girl she is.” People often think better about us than we. 3. Look at your own Talk The next item on the confidence and self-esteem is to watch what you say about yourself. Catch up, saying things like, “I made a mistake, as usual.” “Im unlucky all the tickets were sold.” “Glad you enjoyed the cake, I’m not good at cooking,” etc. In addition, you must watch what you say to yourself. Are you unconsciously saying, “I knew I ruin everything. I can not do anything for once? ” Often, your self-talk is much more severe criticism from others and it is certainly more repetitive! 4. Take Action Challenge you and every day. Learn to take certain steps you challenges, is another key point in building confidence and self esteem. I taught English for years for foreign businessmen, and one of their huge blocks was answer the phone in English (a foreign language for them.) During the course, I would always slip a little unexpected phone call “authentic”. It has always surprised me that after doing this several times, their anxiety about to dissipate. If they do not understand, they have learned to ask the speaker to repeat. Take some action every day to do something that you are a little shy to do, if taken over-ripe tomatoes at the store, or tell your neighbor down the volume on his TV after 12.pm because you need to sleep. 5. Learn how to program your subconscious Finally, when it comes to build confidence and self esteem, do not forget to learn to program your subconscious by repeating and saying aloud positive affirmations. For years, the movement of self growth was advocating this, and yet how many people do it? To determine practicing these five tips and you will find that slowly but surely, you will build self-confidence. The amazing thing is that when you respect yourself, you find that others also respect you. This, after all, is a world of thought. The Universe will reflect back what you give. Just about everyone in America is waiting at their desks wondering if they’ll be next on the list of layoffs. People who haven’t been able to, or haven’t had the foresight of creating an emergency fund wonder how they will survive if they are laid off. Everywhere you go, you’ll overhear conversations depicting this general concern.
Here are 5 tips for surviving a layoff: 1) Start reducing expenses immediately. You can eliminate all unnecessary expenses even before you are laid off to help you start an emergency fund; but it’s imperative to reduce your living expenses when you are laid off. Going without luxuries may take some getting used to, but it’s in your best interest until you find a job to replace your current position or get rehired after the temporary lay off. Take a very close look at your outgoings and prioritize expenses. If you don’t need it for the mortgage, utilities, food or monthly debt repayments – chances are it’s not an absolute necessity. You can reduce expenses by paying off smaller bills all at once. While this may not seem like a good thing to do because it uses up a bulk of money all at once, the future months with less monthly payments will be easier to budget for on lower income. 2) Pay the minimum amount due. This is counterintuitive. In order to pay off your accounts you know you need to pay more than the minimum amount due. While you are laid off and living on a reduced income though, you should just pay the minimum amounts to avoid late fees and once you have a normal income stream again, increase your repayments or pay them off completely. 3) Don’t neglect your emergency fund. If you don’t already have one, even when you are laid off you should try to contribute some money into a cash reserves. If something happens and you need access to cash – you may not have credit available or be able to get it while laid off. Do the best you can to store some cash for these unexpected expenses. 4) Begin the search for a new job. If you are not on a temporary lay off, you’ll need tos tart job hunting immediately. You’ll want to find a job that will become a “career” and is in the field of your choice – but in the meantime, while you are hunting for work, you may need to take an interim job to provide an income to meet your basic income needs that you listed above. You may need more than one job. 5) The whole family must be on the same team. Everyone in your family needs to understand the seriousness of the situation and do what they can to reduce their own expenses and to contribute to the needs of the family as a whole. Those who are able can look for jobs to add to the household income, but at the very least – if everyone is able to cut back their expenses, the income you earn will go further. |
